Formerly associated, I imagine, with James Williamson's oilcloth works which grew up from the mid C19th and by the 1930s was described as "the most extensive in the universe". The whole area was being cleared in the name of the Luneside East Regeneration Project, a mixed use scheme intended to revivify a hitherto neglected area of the city. It will be a pity if this entails the obliteration of any trace of the industry which brought relative prosperity to the area. By December 2014: Image
