To the right of a relatively modern lamppost is the whipping post which dates probably from the 18th century and is constructed of stone with a square cornice and ball finial. Right of that are the fish stones also probably from the 18th century. They are two slabs raised on legs, constructed of stone. They were used by market traders selling fish. To the right of the slabs is the Market Cross which probably dates from the 17th century. It is a Tuscan column constructed of stone, consisting of three tapered cylinders on a square pedestal, which in turn sits on a circular plinth of four steps. On top of the cylinders is a ball finial with a cross. The cross is similar to those at Kirkland and Garstang. In front of the cross are some stocks.
