Throop: a gate across B.O.A.T. K41

The little track is a public right of way, a byway open to all traffic (or B.O.A.T.), leading the short distance from Throop Road to the edge of the River Stour ahead. There is no onward access in either direction along the riverside, but the historical reason for the right of way appears to be that there was once a ford leading diagonally across the river to Pig Shoot Lane. The kissing gate, to the left of the conventional gate, is minus its actual gate.
