Built in 1822-24, the architect William Corry. Grade II listed. Converted to the eponymous pub in the 1990s (it may have closed since this photo). The sculpture in front commemorates a local protest, part of the 1842 Plug Plot Riots, or General Strike, in which a number of rioters were shot by the police (Image]).
