Herring Bridge

The bridge across the River Glen is known as Herring Bridge, it is used only by local traffic. The larger local road runs along the south side of the River Glen. The official route of the Macmillan Way runs along this nearside riverbank, through the car park of the Ship Inn. To follow that route means crossing the railway on a footcrossing, and it is probably safer to go through Pinchbeck Village.
