The name of the fields according to West Grinstead's 1841 tithe map that have been merged to form a larger unit. Short Lands was in the foreground adjacent to the drive to New Barn Farm whilst Long Lands was the south. To the north of the former is Newbarn Wood whilst to the north of the latter is Image To the east is Image whilst to the west is Image See also Image for a view from the southern side of the field.
