I searched in vain on the sign boards for some indication of what sort of Christianity was practised here, but noted the adjacent school (the pointy building to the right) was St. Peter's Church of England School, and the church man in charge called himself 'Fr.', which was puzzling. On reading the church web site, it turns out this is an Anglo-Catholic church. They seem to have fallen out with the local church bosses (probably over women), and now look to the Bishop of Ebbsfleet (in Kent!) for higher guidance. A Victorian grade II listed church.
