Former Pedestrian Exit from the Clyde Tunnel

The view of the third pedestrian entrance/exit to the tunnel. Originally pedestrians had three entrances and exits from the Clyde Tunnel. There are two entrances/exits which are adjacent to the cycle path. The third entrance for pedestrians alone is by way of a staircase from the buildings above the road tunnel entrance/exit. However, as this view indicates, the third entrance/exit (the stairs behind the gate) is now closed to the public. In addition the locked gate also prevents pedestrians from using the western tunnel after having entered by the eastern cyclepath, and vice versa on entering by the western cyclepath.
