The administrative hub of what was originally an open-air swimming pool. This closed in 1971 and was partially filled in for the use of roller-skaters. Much later on it was used by the Grantham & District Model Boat Club for a period of ten or more years. At present however, it is in a state of disrepair. The nearest road access into the park - for those carrying large, and sometimes heavy, model boats - is from Slate Mill Place on the opposite side of the white-painted bridge. The River Witham flows beneath the bridge and this particular area is known as the "White Bridge" entrance.
