Many old headstones survive here, though most are badly weathered and illegible. My eye was caught by the red-brick building on the far side of Church Street. An 18th-century brick-built façade conceals its timber frame - exposed at the end elevation. (Looking closely at the photo I see that the building houses the Vale and Downland Museum - something I didn't realise at the time).
