This public footpath has descended steeply from Rosemount Road into Alum Chine and we see it here as it reaches the main path through the chine, with an elaborate lamppost between the two little flights of steps at the very bottom. (The main path is not designated as a public right of way, as it is on public land anyway.) See Image for the view up the path from opposite, and Image for the view up the steps behind us, with links to further pictures along the route.
