Looking down from the spiral ramp (see Image) along the start of public footpath C18 (left) which runs alongside the A338 Wessex Way (which the footbridge crosses). Ascham Road is one of many that were severed when the Wessex Way was put through, and footpath C18 leads to Wellington Road from the bridge past this dead end and the one in Portchester Road. See Image for a similar view from ground level - at the bottom of the spiral below us, and Image for the view to here from the path as it disappears alongside the house. The pavement of Ashcam Road, against which the car is parked, is also a public right of way: Image
