As seen from Norwood Street. It was reported in the Kent Messenger on 22 April 2016 that the future of Ashford Police Station was in doubt following concerns about its age, structure and efficiency. This week, police had confirmed that they were in talks about what lay ahead for the Tufton Street building, which was built in 1968 and had opened a year later. Scaffolding had surrounded the building for months and workers had been carrying out inspections to determine what sort of condition the building was in http://www.kentonline.co.uk/ashford/news/is-it-a-cop-out-94720/
