Driver T4/061384 Swift POWELL Heavy Transport, Royal Army Service Corps died of pneumonia 2nd December 1918 aged 22 in the registration district of Oswestry, Denbighshire. Son Swift and Elleanor Mary Powell, (nee Haw) of Arkendale. Yorkshire. In 1911 he was as a horseman of a farm of William and Sophia Marston of Larkfield Riddlesden, near Keighley, Yorkshire. His father was granted a war gratuity on the 30th April 1919. At rest in Arkendale St Bartholomew Church Cemetery, Yorkshire.
