Hampton Inn, Hampton

Image: © pam fray Taken: 24 Jun 2016

On the corner of Western Esplanade and Hampton Pier Road. Formerly known as the Hampton Pier Inn and likely to date back to the building of the pier in the 1860s. The inn survived when all around was washed away by coastal erosion. Very little remains of what was Hampton-on-Sea and Hampton has now become the west end of Herne Bay.
