Traditional Cornish pub and restaurant with guest rooms, located in Market Jew Street opposite Penzance railway station. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4981862 A Popular History of Cornish Place Names states that the name Market Jew is derived from the Cornish language phrase Marghas Yow, (Thursday Market), the name of a nearby village now absorbed into Marazion, to which Market Jew Street leads.
