View SE, the train is coming away from East Boldon, headed by Gresley V3 class 2-6-2T No. 67683, built as No. 391 in 10/39, becoming No. 7683 in 1946 and withdrawn as BR No. 67683 in 9/63. Since 2002 the line has been electrified to Sunderland and on to South Hylton as part of the Tyne & Wear Metro system.
