Viewed from King's Barn Lane bridge. The by-pass was opened in 1981 utilising the trackbed of the old Shoreham-Christ's Hospital railway that had closed in 1966. Steyning station was originally located on the left hand side and all that survives today are Image and Image, the latter beyond the trees to the right.
