The section of the East Kent Railway between Chatham and Faversham opened on 25th January 1858. This is both a foot crossing and a vehicle crossing for Bax Farm although the crossing marked 200 metres behind where I am standing is somewhat safer as it is under a bridge. Apart from the normal Electrostars, Javelins also pass along this line. Sittingbourne is the next station in this direction. A view of the crossing can be seen at http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4972682
