Grade I Listed Parish church spanning the 11th to 14th centuries with an 1865 restoration. Saxon herringbone masonry at the base suggest an original Saxon tower however Norman cornerstones suggest Norman rebuilding of the tower. The Saxon west door is blocked and a Saxon window inserted with a tympanum apparently formed of a coffin lid. The church is entered through a fine Norman doorway. This is thought to be the only church in England to be dedicated jointly to both St George and St Lawrence. Registers date back to 1558.
