A distant view from across the Park of the Red House. Once leased to BTCV (British Trust for Conservation Volunteers) now restyled TCV (The Conservation Volunteers) the building has been sold to an unnamed buyer by Sandwell MBC (Metropolitan Borough Council) for conversion to flats and the building of six houses on the site. The Friends of Red House Park campaigned for many years to secure the building as a community asset but their persistent and longstanding attempts have not met with success. For a full history see the Friends website http://RedHousePark.org.uk and contributions of my fellow Geographer at http://www.geograph.org.uk/snippet/7980. Time photo taken 3.07 pm BST (British Summer Time).
