A view of the signal gantries at the north end of the former Stratford Market station, controlling the approach to Stratford low-level station. Taken through the front windows of a diesel multiple unit in August 1965. The building behind the signals is the former station building, by then in use as offices. A view of the same area in 2012 can be found at Image; the building has been considerably tidied up but is clearly the same one! (Photo is scanned from a 35mm colour slide and has been 'photoshopped' to reduce a strong blue cast in the original.)
