Gelderd Road (the A62 from Huddersfield) and Whitehall Road (A58 from Halifax) converge on the approach to Leeds. Some years ago the A58 was diverted to meet the A62 at right angles at a roundabout Image That left this section of the old Whitehall Road cut off as a dead end.
