Located here, http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4930634 the Abbey pub's name sign is a small three-dimensional depiction of Gloucester Abbey. Founded in the 11th century, Gloucester Abbey was a Benedictine abbey for monks in the city of Gloucester. The abbey was dissolved by King Henry VIII in 1540, and became Gloucester Cathedral in the following year.
