The massed riders in the peloton pedal their way up the long and steep ascent of Greenhow Hill, a category one climb on the Tour de Yorkshire day one route from Beverley to Settle. At this point the peloton were some 2 minutes behind the leading bunch of four who were to be swept up at the top of the hill after contending the 'king of the mountains' points.
