The church has a large collection of medieval benchends; it is not always known what they depict. The consensus is that this shows, on the left, the harrowing of hell, with Adam's head emerging from the jaws of a dragon; on the right is the empty tomb of Christ, shown as a coffin, with the head of a sleeping Roman soldier
