The High Royds mental hospital was so large that it had its own railway line for goods deliveries. This was a north-facing branch off the line between Guiseley and Menston. The branch passed under the A65 at this bridge, just south of the Bradford boundary (the 'Welcome to Menston' sign can be seen in the middle distance). The area to the left is currently used for police dog training. At the other side of the road, the former trackbed has been erased by an ambulance station.
