The gold painted post box commemorates the gold medal won by Andrew Triggs Hodge at the Olympic Games held in London in the summer of 2012. The post box appears to have replaced a wall box in the wall of the former post office (Image and Image). A close up of the plaque on the post box can be seen in Image
