In its prime, this unusual building was probably very impressive. However, as a pub, it is long closed. Above the central second floor window are the words, ‘Rebuilt 1904. Ball Inn.’ Above the windows, to the left and right are the words; ‘John Smiths Tadcaster Ales.’
