The car park is also shown in Image and Image; as noted at the first of those links, it was formerly the site of Callander's railway station. In relation to the present picture, the station was in the rear (the western) part of the car park. The railway line itself ran from there directly towards and under the photographer's position; the view is from a road bridge (Image) that used to cross above the railway line. The mountain in the background is Ben Ledi (Image).
