The Apethorn on Knott Lane was built around 1963 and was originally a Bass Charrington house. It closed in 2015 and is now being converted into "Aqua Nurture" http://aquanurture.co.uk/ which will provide baby, toddler and children's swimming classes under the Puddle Ducks franchise http://www.puddleducks.com/
