A pair of full-length narrow boats sit moored near Tusses Bridge at the extreme northern end of the Oxford Canal. Note that the butty is moored next to the towpath, and the motor on the outside. Such a pair would not welcome a trip down the Coventry stub because of the very severe bends - and, in 1978, somewhat inadequate depth.
