Re-building following demolition of the rear part of Plummer House, the former Chapman's furniture store. The firm closed in 2012 after 165 years trading in the city, dating back to 1847 when the business was launched by Hedley Chapman. The replacement at the rear of the building near Carliol Square will be a 248-room block of student flats. There are historic photos of the site, recent demolition and development on Sktscraper City: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1826941
