This telephoto assisted image is just part of the church, seen from the Ring Road by Chapel Ash. This distinctive landmark is one of the most iconic in the city. The church (Grade II* listed) was built 1899-1901. Pevsner described it as, "a free English Early Georgian style but with a hemispherical copper dome and two facade turrets. A very uncommon design for the purpose." http://www.historywebsite.co.uk/listed/darlmeth.htm Note: Darlington Street Methodist Church was packed out for its final service on Sunday 29 September 2019. If all those people had been in the congregation regularly for the last twenty years, I expect the church would have been more financially able to maintain this superb late Victorian building. https://www.expressandstar.com/news/local-hubs/wolverhampton/2021/10/15/bleak-future-for-city-church-on-endangered-buildings-list/
