Opened in 1857 by the Midland Railway on its line from Leicester to Bedford, this station closed in 1968. View south east towards Great Glen and Bedford. As built, the station had 2 lines and 2 platforms, and was situated south of a level crossing. There was a rebuild in 1902 when two extra freight lines were added and the level crossing was replaced by a bridge, on which the photographer was standing.
