The sign at the edge of the B4275 Ynysmeurig Road points towards Station Road http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4814848 viewed in January 2016. Curiously, though the English word is singular, the Welsh Gorsafoedd means Stations. Station in Welsh is Gorsaf. There have not been two railway stations in Abercynon since 2008, when Abercynon North railway station closed down and a modified Abercynon South station was renamed Abercynon.
