View south, from the corner of St Leonard's Road. The row of white-painted cottages is known (I believe) as Nelson Terrace, and was probably one of the first developments in this area after the coming of the railway. The awning in the foreground is a relic of the former Thresher's off-licence. Photo taken at about 1.40 on a bright January afternoon.
