Drinking Fountain Bury

Located on Manchester Road this drinking fountain and horse troughs is a Grade II listed structure. Built in 1897 the fountain was built so that coach horses and members of the public could stop and take a drink of water on their way to Manchester. Today, as you can see, the method of transport has some what changed with the fountain and troughs now full of plants and flowers.
