See Image and Image Dismantling of the security fence around the closed police station at nos 16-18 Donegall Pass. The site is designated no 10, in the present draft Shaftesbury Square regeneration scheme, suitable for “Residential/Catering/Hospitality/Commercial”. At the opening of the 20th century the RIC (Royal Irish Constabulary) barracks was on the opposite side of the street at no 7. The 1943 street directory shows the RUC barracks here.
