Gable End Farm describes itself as a small farm or a large garden. Many different animals and birds are kept on the farm, including alpacas, rare breed sheep, geese, and horses. The farm gate is shown with notices advertising Open Farm Sunday, an annual event taking place in June during which the public can visit working farms to find out what goes on there. http://www.farmsunday.org/ofs12b/home.eb A public footpath starts at this gate, and runs along near the edge of Great Wood, which can be seen in the background.
