Work under way on constructing new housing on the outskirts of Old Colwyn. The planning application has been controversial because of the loss of more green space, and the decision by the developer to reduce to an unacceptable level the provision of affordable housing incorporated in the scheme. A compromise has eventually been agreed and construction commenced.
