Image: © David Kemp Taken: 28 Jun 2007

Taken from the corner of Bartholomew Street and Great Conduit Street. St Bartholomew's became a hospital in medieval times and was the birthplace of Haymo of Hythe, a fourteenth century bishop of Rochester. The building stone is Kentish Rag (Hythe Beds limestone) of which there were plentiful supplies locally.
