At this time the power plant was interesting. There was a disused Belliss and Morcom triple expansion steam engine, Belliss and Morcom turbine and Stirling boiler. There was a much more modern working Allen turbine driving an alternator through Stoekicht epicyclic gears. The recent Geograph looks nothing like this.
