Traditionally the Cleveland Hunt set out on their Boxing Day hunt from the village green in Great Ayton. Prior to the start at 11:00 the gathering is watched by a crowd of followers. Riders are plied with sherry and comestibles while posing for photographs with the hounds which of course can not be used to hunt foxes. So I suppose these hounds will follow the purposely laid scent trail and ignore any fox trails which it happens to cross. From: https://fhithich.wordpress.com/2015/12/26/boxing-day-hunt/
