Located on the footpath on the north side of this long residential road. The postbox probably dates from the 1930's, when much of the housing here appears to have been built. Judging by the box's serial number it was just possible that this would be a rare 1936 Edward VIII box. However because he was only on the throne for less than a year, quite a number of Edward VIII boxes had their door, showing the Royal Cypher, replaced by that of another monarch. Whether this might have been an example of that practice is an interesting question. The box can be seen in its location here:- Image Postbox number:- B91 752D. Post code:- B91 2**.
