This church dates from prior to the Scottish Reformation of the 16th Century. The listed building entry described the ruins as follows: "Roughly quadrangular churchyard, plain rubble-built walls enclosing fragments of pre-Reformation Gothic church and some 17th-20th century stone monuments. Church is rubble built with ashlar dressings (roof removed 1733-4); east gable survives almost to full height with moulded north skew, pointed door at east end of south wall, north jamb opposite. Churchyard gateway to east, iron gates with spiked iron railings." http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/sc-3877-kirkbride-churchyard-durisdeer
