You have been concerned about poor driving standards, parking and risks from drink drivers. You have raised concerns around nuisance motorcycles.

Response (1 Jan 2024)

We have continued to conduct pro-active patrols and stops on vehicles resulting in a number of drivers being reported for no driver's licence or insurance. As a result we have seized these vehicles.
Over the Christmas period we have arrested 3 drivers for drink drive offences.
Nuisance motorcycles have caused a mix of driving offences and and anti-social behavior. We have recovered a number of stolen motorcycles causing the issues and continue to seize or educate regarding E-scooter use.

You have raised concerns over drug use and dealing in the area.

Response (1 Jan 2024)

We have executed more search warrants at several cannabis growing properties taking thousands of pounds worth of drugs from being supplied to the area. We have executed in excess of 40 warrants in 2023.
We have recovered and arrested persons for the supply of heroin and cocaine, enquiries are in hand.
We are identifying areas where you have mentioned concerns of drug use and with the council, are working to clean up areas.

You have said that street drinking in and around the Rally Park or Tudor Rd have caused concern. Again, E-scooters can cause concern and actually require a driver licence and insurance.

Response (1 Jan 2024)

We have targeted several 'street drinkers' and used powers to arrest and issue Criminal behaviour orders to prevent further issues. This has reduced one males offending significantly.
We have issued warnings or seized a number of E-scooters, identifying some youths responsible and informing their parents.
