Built in 1790 and originally a row of four. Only numbers 3-4 survive after 1-2 were demolished in 1928 for road widening. The name derives from the original painted colours, those of the Whig Party whom the Prince Regent then supported. To the left is the Glass Pavilion which was added a few years ago to fill a gap behind.
