The B6282 approaches the fork in the road from the left of the image. At the junction the right branch, continuing as that road, heads for the southern part of Bishop Auckland, the other goes to the north of the town as the B6284. The shadowed road sign in County Durham blue and yellow tells that Bishop Auckland is being entered.
