Old railway bridge off Gelderd Road

The line was the LNWR "Leeds New Line" which took a tortuous route from Cooper Bridge near Huddersfield, via the 2100m Gildersome tunnel, to join the main line into Leeds just east of here. It opened in 1900 and closed in 1953.
